Wyoming Will Still Give Veterans College Tuition

wyoming-flag-graphicGovernor Matt Mead announced earlier this week that the Wyoming’s program that provides college tuition to veterans will remain intact despite recent budget cuts. The program costs $264,000 a semester, and there is some question where these funds will come from. Money for the program recently came out of the Wyoming Community College commission budget, but this may no longer be feasible as the budget was slashed by $20.2 million in the most recent cuts. According to a government representative, in the fall of 2015, the program provided 162 veterans with tuition reimbursement at the seven community colleges and the University of Wyoming.
