Wyoming GOP Members Still With Trump

wyoming-flag-graphicAfter a recent tape was released of Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump making lewd comments about woman, Wyoming elected officials have condemned the comments, but have stopped short of withdrawing their commitment to the nominee.  State Representative Cynthia Lummis and Senators Mike Enzi and John Barrasso all said they were disgusted by the comments but that the alternative to a Trump presidency and the impacts the election could have on the Supreme Court were so dire that voting for anyone else was not an option. Wyoming governor Matt Mead also voiced his displeasure with the comments but then reiterated that he still believed that among the current options, Trump is still the best choice for Wyoming in November. In a statement following the release of the video, the Wyoming Democratic Party called for all state republicans to denounce their “party’s standard bearer”.
