The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is seeking information regarding a poaching case involving a trophy mule deer buck near Medicine Bow. Elk Mountain game warden Ryan Kenneda said somebody shot the buck with a rifle Saturday. A guest at a nearby ranch reported seeing the buck alive earlier in the day. Kenneda said the shooter took no meat from the buck and left its 6-by-7 antlers intact. He said the animal would have been a once-in-a-lifetime buck for a legal hunter. Anyone with information about the poaching can call the Game and Fish Department’s tip line at 877-943-3847.
