Search and Rescue crews are looking for a missing Wamsutter man who is presumed to have drowned in the Seminoe Reservoir northeast of Rawlins. According to authorities, 25-year-old Michael Proberts went on a kayak trip to the reservoir Saturday morning and never returned. Proberts vehicle was located at the Red Hills Campground early Sunday morning, and his kayak, life vest, ball cap and kayak paddle were found along the east bank of the reservoir later that day. Despite extensive search efforts, including the utilization of a dive team, Proberts body has yet to be found. A representative for the Carbon County Sheriff’s office said the search was underway again Tuesday morning.
