Winter Carnival Begins in Steamboat

winter carnivalThis year’s Winter Carnival is underway in Steamboat. Activities are scheduled throughout the town. Although the event officially began yesterday, the two big days are Saturday and Sunday. That’s when visitors can enjoy the Street Events downtown. Those include local Winter Sports Club participants being pulled on skis behind horses, the Donkey Jump, and more. The Night Show Extravaganza is also a big draw. Lincoln Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic during the Street Events. The Carnival lasts through Sunday. While the carnival itself is free, there are some events that may require a ticket to enter. For more information about this year’s Winter Carnival, click here.
