Wind Topples Trees onto Power Lines

WINDHigh winds caused problems for Yampa Valley Electric crews last night.  Crews responded to two incidents of trees falling onto power lines.  The first happened just a little before 9 in the alley between Stout and Steele Streets in Craig.  A pole and a conductor were damaged and about 24 area residents were without power until 4:45 this morning.  The other incident took place at a little after 9 last night, just south of Hayden, on County Road 55.  A pole and conductor were again damaged, and about 19 residents went without power until a little after 2 this morning.
