The annual Whittle the Wood and Young Life Car Show drew thousands to Craig over the weekend. The 70’s Southern Rock band, Atlanta Rhythm Section, put on a great show and got people dancing. The car show, although a little smaller than last year, had dozens of cars never seen at the show in the past. The winners of the wood carving competition were Ron Eye, who took 1st place in the Judges Choice with “Refuge”; Bongo Love received 2nd place for “Pelican’s Chum” and Damon Gorecki claimed third place with “Mind Warp”. The People’s Choice winner was Jess Beeson’s “Above the Storm”, and the Carvers Choice ended in a tie between Chad Stratton’s “Release the Kracken” and Robert Wait’s “Victory!” (pictured).
