Wood carving began yesterday at Loudy Simpson Park as chain saw artists got to work on their creations ahead of this weekend’s Whittle the Wood in Craig. The carving will continue through Saturday morning. The public is invited to stop by over the next couple of days and watch as the pieces take shape. Judging will be Saturday. This year’s Whittle the Wood again features two nights of music. Tomorrow, the “River City Band”will play at 4:30 followed by the Wendy Woo Band at 6:30. Saturday, music begins at 3 with Trail, followed by headliners, The Subdudes, at 5:30.
