If you are driving Highway 40 west of Craig Friday, keep your eyes out for a group of bike riders. Participants on a ride, sponsored by the Fuller Center for Housing, will spend the weekend in Craig and will volunteer their time and labor Saturday to work on homes and yards owned by the disabled, senior citizens and veterans. Home owner will need to provide the material and tools for the job, and the property being worked on must be owned by the occupant. If you own and live in your home and believe you may qualify for their free service, call Neil Folks at 326-8726. Riders began their cross country trip in San Francisco and will continue to Savannah Georgia, providing community work along the way. Participants on the ride raise approximately one dollar per mile on their journey that goes to benefit the Fuller Center for Housing. The Fuller Center’s ultimate goal is to eliminate poverty housing through long term zero percent interest loans.
