Udall Supports Rural “Listening Session” on EPA Rules

mark-udall-300Senator Mark Udall has written a letter to EPA Administrator Gin McCarthy asking her to hold “Public Listening Sessions” on the agency’s new Carbon Pollution Rules in a rural Colorado area.  Udall has been asked by several elected officials to support holding one of the EPA’s upcoming hearings on the rules in Moffat County.  While Udall doesn’t specifically ask for a Moffat County appearance, he does say in his letter that his office “has heard from Coloradans in rural areas across the state, including Moffat County, and I believe additional public listening sessions in their communities would be beneficial to local stakeholders and the Agency alike.”  The EPA will hold their hearings in Denver later this month.  The Colorado Mining Association, the Independence Institute, and Americans for Prosperity are holding a protest rally outside the hearings, and are encouraging people to join them.  You can read Udall’s full letter by clicking here.  Pictured:  Mark Udall
