Mark Udall’s campaign is getting a big boost from a California billionaire. Tom Steyer’s political action committee has released its first round of attack ads against Cory Gardner. Steyer has vowed to support all of the lawmakers that support his environmental agenda, which includes the war on coal, as well as blocking the Keystone Pipeline project. He has pledged up to $50 million for his favored candidates. The ad focuses mostly on Gardner’s opposition to abortion, portraying the Congressman as someone who has a war waged on women. Udall has also recently criticized Gardner for the support he has received from the Koch Brothers, who have spent money on campaign ads supporting Republican candidates across the country.
