Now that the primary election is over, U.S. Senator Mark Udall has invited Congressman Cory Gardner, to join him in a series of spirited debates before November’s election. Senator Udall, yesterday, sent Representative Gardner a letter congratulating him on officially receiving the Republican nomination and inviting him to participate in open and honest debates around Colorado. The Udall campaign has asked the League of Women Voters to facilitate negotiations. Udall has made women’s issues such as abortion rights and birth control a center piece of his campaign, and has been assaulting Gardner on his record on those issues. He is also running on support of amnesty, and the troubled Obamacare. Gardener’s focuses are on fighting Obamacare, securing American borders, and limiting Federal Regulations. When it comes to energy, Udall supports an aggressive renewable energy plan that phases out coal, while Gardner favors keeping coal as a major player in energy production. Gardner has not yet responded to Udall’s letter.
