Transit users in Steamboat may notice a few changes and improvements to transit stops over the next month. Transit stops will see enhancements at Shadow Run, Herbage, Sundance Plaza, Rotary Park, Dream Island, as well as stops along Highway 40 at Hilltop Parkway, Iron Horse/Trafalgar Drive and Anglers Drive. The improvements will include new bus shelters in some locations, increased pedestrian connectivity, safer bus stop locations, and new bear proof trash cans. Some stops will be temporarily moved to nearby locations. Bus schedules will not be impacted, but riders should allow extra time to meet connections during construction. The improvements are a part of a Federal Transit Administration grant funded project. If you need more information, call 871-8293.
