A tipped over semi resulted in Highway 40 being closed for a period of time yesterday afternoon on the east side of Rabbit Ears Pass. The trucks driver lost control, causing the semi to slide off the road where it struck a guard rail, which led to the trailer tipping over. The highway was closed from 12:30 until around one to allow crews to upright the tipped over trailer. No one was injured in the incident. Icy and snow packed roads are believed to have contributed to the crash.
