Winter is almost here in Colorado, time to winterize boats throughout the state. Owners should be sure to get all the water out of the vessel before a hard freeze, as sealed water can expand causing damage. It’s recommended that marine fuel stabilizer is used and the gas tank is topped off before being stored. This will keep water out and maintain fuel quality as the boat sits for the next few months. You should also change the oil and gear lube prior to winter boat storage. Getting out the old lubricants will also help to remove excess water.
