Teens Arrested For Vehicle Theft

Two Rock Springs teens are in custody following a burglary, car theft, and pursuit in Sweetwater County Monday.  Officers responded to reports of a possible fight Monday evening at the Life Skills Wyoming residential house. While responding to the scene, an officer received reports that two teens believed to be involved in the altercation, had left the house in a Life Skills company vehicle. The officer located the vehicle and tried to pull it over, but the teens fled. Police were finally able to get the car to stop, and took Jacob Negus and Isaiah Gentry, both 18, into custody. Gentry is charged with Burglary, Conspiracy to Commit Burglary, and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, while Negus faces charges of Conspiracy to Commit Burglary, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, Reckless Driving, and Driver’s License Required.
