A World War 2 veterans’ memorial is in the works for Craig. The Moffat County Commissioners listened to a proposal regarding the memorial earlier this week. The memorial would be a sculpture of a soldier, but where it would be displayed is still a matter of discussion. The Craig VFW will have a lunch fundraiser to benefit Moffat County School Bands on Saturday December 13th from 10am – 2pm. Lunch will include a hamburger and fries for $6 with all of the proceeds donated to band programs.

The Craig VFW’s annual parade will be held the morning of July 4th beginning at 11. Following the parade (around noon) there will be a picnic fundraiser for the Craig Community Kitchen in the park north of the VFW, with free hamburgers and hot dogs. Attendees are invited to bring a dessert to share. The picnic will include a money pit and games for children.
Line up for the parade starts at 1o am and all floats are welcome in the parade. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place entries.
