Crews Limit Deep Creek Fire Growth

Crews have been able to limit the growth of the Deep Creek Fire over the last few days, but have not increased containment of the blaze. The lightning started fire, which is burning nine mile northeast of Hayden, is at just over 2,200 acres and is 0% contained. Wildfire Ignites In Routt County

A wildfire ignited Saturday afternoon in the Big Red Park area, ten miles north of Clark in Routt County. Peekaboo Fire Nearly Doubles In Size

The Peekaboo Fire continued its rapid expansion yesterday, growing from 4,200 acres to an estimated 8,000 acres as of last night. The rapid growth forced the closure of Highway 318 between Maybell and the Utah border last night for approximately an hour. It’s possible the highway and Moffat County Road 10N will be closed again while the fire suppression efforts take effect.
