The Community Budget Center in downtown Craig was broken into over the weekend. A TV was stolen, and cash from the store’s donation box. Thieves also unplugged the store’s security equipment, and damaged the building. Karen Brown with the donation center says there will not be any money for assistance programs for the month of June. The center gives emergency assistance to people who need it, whether it is for rent, gas money, or shelter. Brown says, “It’s pretty scary stuff when things like this happen in a small community.”

Semi Rolls and Spills Hazardous Material

COLO-STATE-PATROL-3001A semi rolled over on the west side of Rabbit Ears Pass yesterday, closing the pass for several hours. According to the Colorado State Patrol, the semi was hauling a load of hazardous liquid, which spilled when the tank ruptured during the roll.
