Blodgett Pleads Not Guilty To Manslaughter

Justin Blodgett, who is facing a felony manslaughter charge related to the death of Raymond Terrill, pleaded not guilty yesterday. Terrill died in Craig in March, after he and Blodgett had reportedly been involved in an altercation. 14th Judicial District Chief Judge Michael O’Hara gave Blodgett a deadline of September 7th, to accept the state’s deal to plead guilty to criminally negligent homicide.  If Blodgett declines to accept the plea agreement the case will go to trial starting Continue reading

Murderer of Patricia Richmond Sentenced to 50 years

Patricia-RichmondCole Pollard, pleaded guilty Tuesday to 2nd Degree Murder and Attempted Sexual Assault for the killing of Patricia Richmond in North Routt County which occurred in June last year. Per a plea agreement, Pollard was sentenced to 50 years to life in prison. Specifically, the Court ordered Mr. Pollard to serve 40 years in prison for murder to be followed by a consecutive 10 years to life for attempted sexual assault. Continue reading

Former Grand County Employee Pleaded Guilty

court-300A former Grand County employee, Brigid Irish who faced more than 930 charges following the discovery of a half-million dollars missing from the Grand County Treasury pleaded guilty in the Grand County District Court to one count each of theft, attempt to influence a public official, and embezzlement of public property, all felonies.  Irish also pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor abuse of public records.  The Continue reading
