Meeker Wins 2A State Wrestling Title – Listen to the State Final Matches

Meeker Cowboys horse cowboy flagEvery one of Meeker’s state wrestlers contributed to the teams narrow win Saturday night.  Meeker edged out Rocky Ford by a single point, 143 to 142 to take the team title.  Meeker had six wrestlers medal, three of those taking first, including TJ Shelton who became just the 19th wrestler in Colorado history to win four state championships. The High School State Wrestling Championships get underway today. For the third consecutive year, cousins Dennis and Anton Fredrickson will call the action. KRAI And 55 Country Holiday Drive

The 17th annual 93.7 102.3 and 55 Country KRAI Holiday Drive will be held on Thursday and Friday December 3rd and 4th in front of the Centennial Mall in Craig. KRAI and 55 Country staff will broadcast live from 6am to 6pm both days.

Listeners are asked to make the event a success by donating cash, new unwrapped toys and non-perishable food. 100% of all money and items collected are passed on to four local organizations; the Interfaith Food Bank, Advocates Crisis Support Services (a crisis counseling and safe house organization), Christmas For Kids (a local organization that provides toys to underprivileged children) and Christmas For Seniors (a local organization that provides gift to hundreds of senior citizens in Moffat County).

What Is Needed?
Donate any or all of the following during the Holiday Drive:
– New UNWRAPPED toys
dolls – stuffed animals-bikes-trikes-games-balls-electronics-blocks-art supplies-etc.

– Non-perishable food
green beans-corn-peas-rice-instant mashed potatoes-pasta-soup-salsa-pasta sauce-gravy mix-canned goods of all types-peanut butter-jelly-etc.

– Gifts for senior citizens
games-blankets-books-books on CD-gift cards-dog food-etc.

– Cash
Make checks out to either “Holiday Drive” or “Moffat County United Way”.

NOTE: 100% of your cash donation will be passed directly to the organization(s) of your choosing. Make a notation on the check how you would like to divide up or designate your cash donation.
