I-80 SIGNInterstate 80 reopened Wednesday afternoon in the wake of a large winter storm that dropped more than a foot of snow over parts of Wyoming, created winds approaching 50 miles per hour and resulted in dozens of car crashes. Interstate 80 westbound out of Laramie, Wyoming is now open. Reduced speeds near the crash scene have been lowered to 65 mph. the Wyoming Department of Transportation said approximated that 220 linear feet of roadway was damaged from the fire that ensued from Monday’s crash.  Crews have been able to make emergency pavement repairs to the damaged section. Over 60 Vehicles Involved In Pileups On I-80 In Wyoming

342 Pileup 1342 Pileup 2Three major vehicle pileups near mile post 342 on Interstate 80 on both the east and westbound sides currently have I 80 closed between Cheyenne and Laramie.
