A traffic accident on Highway 40 west of Milner slowed traffic yesterday evening. Details of the accident are not clear, as troopers have yet to file a report. Witnesses reported seeing a single car with extensive front end damage. The accident slowed traffic to a crawl as troopers cleaned up the site.

An accident on Highway 40 on the east side of Rabbit Ears Pass near the intersection of Highway 14 closed highway 40 in both directions earlier today. Details of the accident have not been released. Traffic was detoured to highways 131 and 134 during the closure. Highway 40 was reopened around 7 Friday night.
