Wrestlers Find Success In Day One Of State Tournament

STATE-WRESTLING-LISTEN-LIVENorthwest Colorado wrestlers got off to a great start Thursday in the preliminary rounds of the state tournament, as over two thirds of area wrestlers advanced to the Championship Quarterfinals.  Half of those wins were by pin.  With a win in the Quarterfinals, wrestlers will advance to the semi-finals and are guaranteed to place at the state tournament.  Eight wrestlers lost in the first round and will move into the first round of the consolation matches.  Team Meeker ended the day in 2nd place just 2 and 1/2 points back from the leader, Rocky Ford.  Moffat County is in 10th place.  Action resumes Friday morning at 10 beginning Continue reading

Detoured Traffic To Continue Through NW Colorado

glenwood canyon rock fall feb 16 1I-70 through Glenwood Canyon will remain closed at least through midday tomorrow following a rock slide that damaged the roadway and left massive boulders on the highway.
