Hayden Man Sentenced to Eight Years In Prison

Thomas Johnson Found Guilty For Murder Of Lori Bases

A Routt County jury convicted Thomas Johnson Saturday, of Murder in the First Degree, for killing Lori Bases in Steamboat Springs in May of 2000. This was Johnson’s third trial and conviction for the murder. His two prior convictions were overturned on appeal. The jury declined to find Johnson guilty of additional charges of First Degree Criminal Trespass and Criminal Mischief for the vandalism of Bases’ vehicle in April of 2000. Georgie Hand Sentenced to 82 Years

Hand, Georgie 01131972 (1)Georgie Hand, the woman convicted of attempting to kill a wildlife officer and a Moffat County Sheriff’s Deputy was sentenced to 82 years in prison Monday. In April a jury found hand guilty on 8 felony counts, including 2 counts of aggravated robbery, 2 counts of second-degree kidnapping, 2 counts of menacing and 2 counts of disarming a peace officer. Murderer of Patricia Richmond Sentenced to 50 years

Patricia-RichmondCole Pollard, pleaded guilty Tuesday to 2nd Degree Murder and Attempted Sexual Assault for the killing of Patricia Richmond in North Routt County which occurred in June last year. Per a plea agreement, Pollard was sentenced to 50 years to life in prison. Specifically, the Court ordered Mr. Pollard to serve 40 years in prison for murder to be followed by a consecutive 10 years to life for attempted sexual assault. Continue reading

Former Grand County Employee Pleaded Guilty
