Red Flag Warning Today For Moffat And Rio Blanco Counties

RED FLAGThe National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Red Flag Warning for Moffat and Rio Blanco counties in effect from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. today (Monday). The Warning is due to gusty winds, low humidity and dry fuels. Winds out of the west are expected to gust up to 35 miles per hour. The combination of forecasted conditions creates the potential for rapid fire growth upon ignition and contributes to extreme fire behavior. Please refrain from using fire outdoors this afternoon and evening.
