The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is committed to improving the nutritional quality of meals served to children and adults in participating child care centers, family child care homes, at-risk afterschool programs, Head Start and outside-school-hours programs, adult day care centers and emergency and homeless shelters. CACFP reimburses these care centers for nutritious meals and snacks served to eligible children and adults using funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
