New Campground Coming To Elkhead

Reservations Now Required To Camp At Elkhead
Beginning next year campers will need to make reservations to use the Bears Ears Campground near Elkhead Reservoir. Colorado Parks and Wildlife is updating the campground from a “first come, first served”, to a “registration system”. The changes will go into effect May 19th, and campers will need to reserve a spot at the campground from that date through September 10th. Campsites can be reserved up to six months in advance.
