Steamboat Taxes From Marijuana Up 20%

medical-marijuana-taxTaxes collected in Steamboat continue to increase according to the city’s August Sales, Use and Accommodation tax report. Taxes collected in August grew by nearly 6% as compared to august of last year, with the biggest gains coming from marijuana sales which increased by more than 20% and miscellaneous retail which increased by more than 9%. Total taxes collected so far in 2016 are nearly 7% higher as compared to the same time period last year.
