Steamboat Tax Collections Increase

After falling to begin the year, Steamboat sales tax collections increased again in April.  According to the most recent Sales Use and Accommodation Tax Report taxes increased by more than 4.5% or just over $50,000 in April, as compared to April of last year. The largest overall tax gains came from marijuana tax collections, which were up more than 19% and miscellaneous retail which grew by more than 11%.  To view the April tax report , click here.
