Steamboat Tax Collections Up To End Year

Steamboat tax collections increased slightly in December, according to the preliminary Sales Use and Accommodation Tax Report. Taxes for December grew by just over 1%, or $33,000, as compared to the previous year, with the biggest gains coming from marijuana sales which increased by almost 16% and liquor sales, which grew more than 13%. Year to date tax collection were up almost 3.6% as compared to the taxes collected in 2016. To view the full preliminary report for December, click here.
