The City of Steamboat has published the final June 2015 Sales, Use, and Accommodation Tax Report. Steamboat’s June sales taxes are 5.78% more than the June 2014 collections, a difference of $92,219. When comparing this June to the prior June, the greatest categorical increases are in liquor stores and lodging and amenities. Notable increases in collections by area were 13.51% for West Steamboat and 8.69% for the Mountain area. Year to date sales tax collection is showing a positive trend at 6.16% more than year to date through June 2014.
