Steamboat Marijuana Taxes Collected Up 25%

medical-marijuana-taxTaxes collected in Steamboat continue to increase. This according to the City’s September Sales, Use and Accommodation tax report. Taxes collected in September were up nearly 8% as compared to September of last year, with the biggest gains coming from marijuana sales which increased by more than 25%, and lodging and amenities, which increased by more than 23%. Total taxes collected so far in 2016 are a little over 7% higher as compared to the same time period last year.
