Tickets are on sale now for the annual State of the Community Dinner which will take place next month in Craig. Presentations during the dinner will focus on how to make Craig and Moffat County’s economies resilient and strong. Keynote speakers Brian Lewandowski from the University of Colorado’s Business Research Division and Laura Blomquist Rodriguez of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, will present their findings from a study that looked at the economics of rural Colorado. Lewandowski and Rodriguez will give an in depth look at Moffat County’s economy, expectations for 2017 and the work that’s being done to promote growth and prosperity. New Craig City Manager Mike Foreman and Moffat County Assessor Chuck Todd will also be at the meeting to provide their views on the economic future of the area. In addition, there will be awards handed out for Business and Business Person of the Year. The dinner will take place Wednesday April 5th at the Clarion, the cost is $40 per person.
