The Colorado State Patrol along with several other agencies around the state are stepping up enforcement for the Memorial Day Weekend. The enforcement period will begin Friday and continue through Tuesday morning. Troopers will have zero tolerance for drivers under the influence of any substance that may affect their ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner. Troopers will also be on the lookout for any other traffic infractions that could lead to serious injury or death including speeding, inattentive driving, distracted driving, and unsafe lane changes. The State Patrol reminds motorists there will be in influx of traffic in the area due to the holiday weekend.
