14 snowmobilers from across the country have been cited over the last several months, for trespassing in the Mount Zirkel Wilderness are in the Routt National Forest. As part of an effort to protect wilderness areas like Mount Zirkel from the effects of human activity, motorized vehicles are not permitted. Some of the wilderness area is marked, but it is ultimately up to the individual to stay off prohibited areas.
