After a productive meeting with members of the Senior Social Center, the Moffat County Commissioners have decided to auction off the Shadow Mountain Club House. During the meeting, it was determined the club house would not fit the long-term needs of the Social Center, as it would be too expensive for them to maintain. The County estimated that it would cost $176,000 to bring the building up to par, with an additional $35,000 a year needed for upkeep. The sale of the Club House is tentatively scheduled for May 3rd, with an additional 6 plus acres of land north of the club house being auctioned off the same day. The minimum bid for the clubhouse is expected to be $250 thousand. In addition to the club house auction, the county will also auction off 7 lots they own south of Iles Grove, between Craig and ColoWyo Mine. That auction will be held April 11th.
