A semi carrying a trailer load of automobiles overturned on Rabbit Ears Pass this morning, closing the highway for a few hours. According to the Colorado State Patrol, the accident happened on the west side of the pass at around 8:45 this morning. The trailer spilled its load of vehicles onto the roadway. No other occupied vehicles were involved in the crash. It isn’t clear whether or not the driver of the semi was hurt. The spilled vehicles were towed out of the way, and one lane of the highway was re-opened at around 10:30, allowing for traffic to resume along the pass. The entire highway was re-opened minutes later.
