The Colorado Cattlemen’s Association and the Partners for Western Conservation have cancelled a meeting they had scheduled for Craig next week to talk about Sage Grouse issues. The meeting was geared towards mineral rights and property owners. The groups say the meeting was going to conflict with an EPA hearing. The state’s Air Quality Control Commission will be in Craig during that time for their summer retreat. This will be the agency’s first trip to Craig, during which they will tour Tri-State, and Trapper Mine. They will hold a public forum the night of the 18th. That was the same night the Cattlemen’s meeting was to be held. The Cattlemen’s Association says they will reschedule the meeting for a later date.
