A 28 year old Salt Lake City woman is dead after the truck she was a passenger in rolled on Interstate 80 one mile west of Evanston. Krista Weaver was the front seat passenger in the truck being driven by 36 year old Jeff McCurtain of Rock Springs. Weaver was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the truck as it rolled on I-80 eastbound on the evening of August 20th. McCurtain was wearing his seat belt and a juvenile child was in a proper child restraint during the crash. Both McCurtain and the child were transported by ambulance to Evanston Regional Hospital. Krista Weaver was pronounced deceased at the crash scene. The Wyoming Highway Patrol says the 98th highway fatality of 2014 on Wyoming highways once again shows the importance of seat belt and child restraint use and the effectiveness they have in saving lives during crashes.
