A Rock Springs man is facing felony drug charges after a traffic stop Tuesday evening. 55-year old Stephen Workman was stopped for a traffic infraction on Highway 191 north of Rock Springs, when a drug detection dog alerted to the presence of drugs. A subsequent search of Workman’s vehicle produced 20 grams of a crystalline substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine. Workman is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and possession of more than 3 grams of meth. Workman faces up to 20 years in prison and up to $40,000 in fines. Workman is being held at the Sweetwater County Detention on $15,000 bond.
