Rio Blanco County Road Closed Due to Flooding

FLOOD-WATER-300Rio Blanco County Road 51 has been closed due to flooding.  County officials say the road, which is also known as Wyman Lake Road, is closed to highway vehicles due to the wash out of a culvert that crosses the road.  The county isn’t going to replace it until the high water subsides, which they believe will be sometime around the first of July.  The road accesses the White River National Forest, and leads to Wyman and Aldrich Lakes.  Those are popular camping and fishing areas.  If you have questions regarding the closure, you can call the Rio Blanco County Road and Bridge Department at 878-9590.
