Boys and girls who would like to improve their fundamental sports skills are invited to a football camp at Moffat County High School over the next three nights. Former Bronco player Rick Upchurch is in Craig, along with a handful of other former Bronco players to raise money for the fight against cancer. Upchurch, a cancer survivor himself, and his crew will welcome kids tonight, tomorrow night, and Thursday night from 6 to 9:30 for the football camp. There is a one-time $20 fee that will cover all three nights. Saturday, a family carnival will be held at Victory Motors of Craig to raise money for fighting cancer. Upchurch will be there to talk to people about his former playing days, as well as his current efforts with cancer awareness. Last year’s event raised over $15,000, and Upchurch says he’s hoping for an even better outcome this year. Saturday’s carnival starts at noon. Upchurch stopped in for an interview this morning. You can hear that interview tomorrow morning at 7:30 on KRAI FM, and again during the 8 and noon newscasts on 55 Country.
