Recreation Sites To Be Closed

The East Four Mile and South Orientation recreation sites in the Canyon Pintado Historic District on Highway 139 south of Rangely, will be closed for six weeks, starting next month.  The BLM is closing the recreation areas to allow crews to work to improve the accessibility of these sites by installing parking areas, facilities or trails. Six other developed recreation sites along State Highway 139 in Canyon Pintado will remain open while the work is taking place. The recreation sites will be closed starting Monday September 11th.
