RCOEM Reminds Drivers to Slow Down During Winter Weather

WINTER-DRIVING-300The Routt County Office of Emergency Management is reminding drivers to slow down and give themselves extra space between cars during winter driving conditions. They remind motorists that vehicles react differently on wet, snowy and icy roads. They say having 4-wheel drive may help with acceleration, but slowing down still requires extra time and room. They remind drivers to use caution on icy roads, especially around curves and street corners. They say the key phrase to remember is: “When there’s ice and snow, take it slow.”
