Rain barrels could soon be allowed once again in Colorado. The state Senate’s Agriculture, Natural Resources and Energy Committee passed a bill yesterday repealing the rain barrel ban. Democrats were finally happy with the language of the bill after steps were taken to make sure that the rain barrels can’t compete with water rights. The vote Wednesday will now send the legislation to the Senate for a vote. The House has already passed the bill with bi-partisan support. Governor Hickenlooper said this week that he’s optimistic the legislation will make it to his desk.
