Raccoon Causes Fire In Moffat County

A raccoon started a wildfire Sunday afternoon on private property, near Moffat County Road 30, southwest of Craig. The raccoon had climbed on a power pole transformer, causing it to spark. Craig Firefighters arrived on the scene around 1:30 and were able to get the 7 acre fire fully extinguished in about an hour. No structures were affected by the blaze.
