The City of Steamboat will hold a public workshop this week to discuss the city’s Comprehensive Parks, Recreation, Open Space, Trails and River Master Plan. The workshop will be held Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 at Olympian Hall. It will include a summary of input received from the public, and will address the visions and goals for the project, and discuss various funding options. In addition to the public workshop, input is being gathered through a community-wide survey. Selected households within the city will be receiving the survey in the mail. Input from both the workshop and the community-wide survey will be utilized to create recommendation for what the Master Plan should entail. Once complete, the Master Plan will provide a 10-year vision for the city’s parks, recreation facilities and amenities, as well as an action plan for implementing this vision. Participants will be asked to provide input and make recommendations for improving and enhancing the parks and recreation system in Steamboat. For additional information on the workshop, click here.
