Tri-State Generation is currently conducting repairs and maintenance at Craig Station Unit 3. The unit experienced an issue in the main generator last month. Crews are assessing the unit, which will remain offline while repairs are made. Additional maintenance for Unit 3 that was scheduled to be completed in May is also being incorporated into the current outage. According to Tri-States Senior Vice President Barry Ingold, Unit 3 plays a significant role in the company’s ability to generate electricity for its members. Ingold says the goal is to safely repair the unit and bring it online as soon as possible. It is unknown when the repairs and maintenance will be completed.
