One person lost their life and two others were seriously injured in a rollover accident on Highway 40 about 10 miles west of Steamboat. The single vehicle accident which involved 3 Boulder residents, all of whom were 21 years old, occurred around 4 yesterday afternoon. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, bystanders were performing CPR on one of the injured, a second person was out of the vehicle with multiple injuries while a third was still trapped in the vehicle and was required to be extracted from the vehicle using the Jaws Of Life. The driver of the vehicle Keyan Pesaran and a passenger in the vehicle, Shannon Cook, were transported to Yampa Valley Medical Center with serious injuries while the other passenger, Nicole Weber, was pronounced dead on scene. According to the State Patrol drug impairment is being investigated as being a possible contributing factor to the crash.
